New Zero Configuration IP Camera Launches
Wireless IP Security Camera company EyeSpy247 have announced a new “Zero Configuration” brand of internet based security camera – the UCam247.
Security cameras that utilise the network connections, including home networks and the public internet, can be extremely useful, and have a wide range of uses from baby monitoring to home security, but have typically required careful and sometimes expert configuration including knowledge of routers, port forwarding, and dynamic DNS.
UCam247 is described as “zero configuration” which essentially means take it out of the box, plug it in, connect it to your home network (wired or wireless) and off you go. Once powered up the video from the UCam247 can be accessed via the network and from downloadable apps for iPhone and Android. A live feed can also be accessed, using a browser, from the local network.
UCam247 say that the camera is “equipped with a long range Wi-Fi, infra-red night vision, motion sensor, built-in micro SD video recorder, and email alerts”.
We previously looked at the Jabbakam, an internet based community monitored security video solution, and this new wave of zero configuration cameras looks very promising – this could herald the next step in the evolution of video monitoring.
The new camera is called UCam247 and for more information head over to the UCam247 website | Buy UCam247 from Amazon
