Samsung reported yesterday, via their Samsung Tomorrow Official Glob Blog, that the 5.3” Super-AMOLED GALAXY Note has “surpassed 5 million sales in just 5 months.” – quite an achievement for a device that sits between being a smartphone and a tablet. Undoubtedly, one of the advantages of the unusual form factor is that it has little real competition with perhaps the Dell Streak being one of the few alternatives (although there is much speculation that regarding a potential 5” iPad Mini, iPhone 5 or iPod Touch).

The GALAXY Note, which features a 1280 x 800 screen resolution, is an ideal alternative if you tend to make fewer calls but instead rely on the form factor for web browsing, as the added screen real estate makes a huge difference from the smaller screens found on typical smartphones.
