Quick Tip: Find My Friends Password Issue
The Find My Friends application on the Apple range of devices is a particularly good example of a practical and useful social tool. However, if you rely on the service and have experienced problems signing into the Find My Friends App you may be wondering what to do particularly if you are met with the message “username/password are invalid.” when you are pretty sure they are fine.
There does appear to be some kind of issue with the sign-in process on the current version of the App and whether this is due to multiple devices sharing Apple ID’s is anyone’s guess however until a solution is found there is at least a work around.
The first thing you should try is to verify your Apple ID is valid and working – you can do this by heading over to the My Apple ID section on the Apple website and log in to your account and ensure your primary email address is set. Next, ensure you have a valid Apple ID account setup on the device (Settings, Store, Apple ID).
If all is well a solution appears to be to delete the Find My Friend application (Settings, General, Usage, Show all Apps, Delete App) and re-download the application from the iTunes App Store.
