Video Production: How To Get Your Business Image Moving
What tech do you carry with you?
Jon: I use a Samsung Galaxy IIs, Trev: My current phone is a Nokia Navigator but I will probably go for an Android phone next upgrade. We also both use laptops extensively. We often go on location and alongside the usual gear we have a 24-track hard disc recorder which has been used extensively in many countries for live concert recordings (Alesis HD24). This connects via Firewire back in the studio so that the files can be copied over.
What tips would you give to business starting up?
Learn to plaster! Seriously though we would say be realistic. Set up a long term plan (our plan is 10 years) and be sure to address the administrative side of the business including the accounts and marketing. Administratively there is a lot to do and the creative angle can end up quite small making for a difficult business so it is essential to stay on top of it.
What about plans for the future at Scadge?
One of the more recent developments we are excited about here at Scadge Studios is that we are now offering App production for iPhone and Android devices. It’s great because a company can get their hands on a business app development from £500 per day.
Looking ahead to the future we would love to get involved in broadcast style productions; some of our favourites being The Old Grey Whistle Test and Tales of the Unexpected so watch this space!
Oh, and we are potentially looking at new premises in our future plan but we can’t say any more about that at the moment!
Thanks for talking to us Jon and Trev, where can people get more information about Scadge?
You can call here at Scadge on +44 (0) 1952 676456 and we also have our corporate site located at scadge.com. We also have an “access all areas” site at our flash based scadge.tv site which includes a lot of behind the scenes footage and of course you can connect with us on Twitter @scadgestudios.
