Digg Problem, Unable To Access This Content, Solved?
The new Digg has split the webosphere a little, some love it whilst others loathe it.
No doubt things need to move on and there will always be teething troubles but this latest problem is making me scratch my head and wonder what on earth is go on.
The problem occurs when trying to Submit a web page to Digg – a warning pops up saying “Unable to access this content, please check the URL and try again." – this occurs no matter which browser is used (I tried Firefox, IE, and Chrome). The strange thing is that it quite often works perfectly fine on the computer right next to me (for info: that computer is running Windows XP whilst I am running Windows 7) – so what is going on?
If Digg-ing an article can’t be done quickly then it kind of defeats the point in the first place.
Well, the best I can ascertain, is that it seems to some sort of processing, or load balancing, issue on the side of Digg. After testing it out, quite a number of times, I have found that if, after the first warning message, you wait a minute or two and resubmit then the Digg will usually get accepted and proceed to the next phase.
If you are having problems with Digg let me know if this works for you – it will be interesting to get to the bottom of it.
