It’s pretty amazing what you can do with a mobile device these days and the latest device to get a “buzz” around it is the Nokia N8 (see Considering The Nokia N8).

Whilst I am still trying to get my hands on a review unit I heard about an interesting project that was filmed entirely using the N8.

The video is called “Dragonfly Love”, featuring some outstanding landscape shots, a fisherman, a carpenter, and two remote-controlled dragonfly models. The movie shows just what is possible with the right technology and a healthy imagination – it’s also very amusing!

There is a “making of” documentary also available which shows some interesting technical details of how the video was put together, including aerial and underwater footage.

At least ten, possibly more, Nokia N8 phones were used for the show – a magnifying lens was used to get some extreme close ups whilst others relied on makeshift rigs to hold the camera phones.
