Get Socially Connected With Microsoft Outlook
Sunday, 7 March 2010
Microsoft recently launched a beta add-in for Microsoft Outlook to extend its Social Networking capabilities. This add-in is called “Outlook Social Connector” and is available for 32-bit versions of Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010 Beta running on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 platforms.

The Social Connector allows you to keep in touch with people in your networks from SharePoint, LinkedIn and soon Windows Live, MySpace, and Facebook. The aim of the connector is to unify the various social networking status and update areas into one centralised view allowing you to use Outlook as your central hub for social activities.
Visit the site and download Microsoft Outlook Social Connector.

Hello,
well well Microsoft. Well done to get a social add-in done on their own?! Allegedly a nice idea to make Outlook the one and only software to manage out everyday life. This new add-in continues where 3rd party tools like Xobni (successfully) started.
And hopefully Microsoft will go on improving it’s poor search function and do a great job, tools like Lookeen already do… Well, hopefully : )
Will try the new add-in, though!

Hi Tony, I ran Xobni for quite some time – it’s a great add-in for Outlook – MS should take note (and it looks they have!).
