This morning I got notified on my Palm Pre about a new update to the webOS firmware. The new version is 1.3.5.2 and the 12MB, over the air, download, unpack and validation time was around 30 minutes on my Palm Pre. 10:11 Installing and updating the system took a further 25 minutes.

The previous firmware update 1.3.5.1 fixed a Calendar issue with Exchange accounts. It was 1.3.5 that brought some major fixes and enhancements to webOS, such as AppCatalog enhancements and improvements to email, messaging and calendaring, so it will be interesting to see what difference 1.3.5.2 has brought.

Following the installation of the firmware update the update pages appears to have changed to indicate “There are application updates available” with an option to view a list of updates. The applications are listed with their icon, title, currently installed version, and currently available version – with the option to install the updates.
