I received an email this afternoon telling me I have been nominated for the Computer Weekly Blog Awards 2009 in the Individual IT Professional Male category. I just took a look at the blogs nominated so far which include seasoned professionals and celebrities such as Peter Cochrane and Rory Cellan-Jones so this could be quite interesting for a regular guy who manages information technology for a living.
Computer Weekly describe the awards as “Computer Weekly’s search for the best blogs in IT is now in its second year, and this year’s competition, brought to you in association with IBM, promises to be bigger and better than before.”
I should find out if I have been shortlisted for the next stage of the process on the 27th October (the same day our new baby is due!) at which time voting will start but in the meantime the email told me I should “start building up support right now” – so please click on the link below if you want to help me along in this little adventure.
