I recently completed the Pairs Game I was developing as a project in Flash. It was a fun and interesting project to do and I owe a lot of thanks to my play tester at home for spotting strange issues and suggesting improvements.
If you have never played pairs the general idea is that a number of pairs of cards are placed face down on the game board. You click two cards to see if they match – if they do they are removed from the board. You have to find all the pairs to win the game. That’s it. I added a few things in such as the scoreboard, the time and flip counter to give you an added challenge. Have fun.
You can play the game by clicking on Games at the top of the screen, or by going direct to the Pairs Game page. My best time so far is 34 seconds – let me know if you beat it!
If you are interested in the development of this game you can read all about it starting at Developing An Application Using Flash and Action Script 3
