Predicto.com Reminds Text Enthusiasts how to BEHAVE
Who talks on the phone anymore? From baby boomers to Generation Y…text messaging is now the communication method of choice. But does that mean that the old rules of “etiquette” are thrown out when texting? Predicto Mobile, www.predicto.com top entertainment news survey site, provides a list of what not to do and basically how to BEHAVE when texting…
1. Use Text abbreviations we ALL understand: No need for texting things like INUCOSM or RUUP4IT. There is no need to carry text abbreviation to English dictionary.
2. Drunk Texting: Friends don’t let friends text drunk, “just say no!” It’s not your responsibility, but your duty to take away their phone.
3. Texting during a face to face conversation: You’re telling the other person that they aren’t worth ALL your attention, someone else is more important.
4. Paragraph Texting: try to keep texts around 140 characters, just like a Twitter Tweet
Leave your dissertation for Grad School!
5. Sending pictures/information via Text: Careful…it might not be just for the eyes of the person you are sending to, but many others who have no business seeing it.
6. Text Noise Alerts: If you’re a serial texter keep the alert to vibrate or silent (better yet) so you don’t bother everyone around you with the robot-like singing of the “The Spice Girls”.
