I often write about the amount of wasted space on our disk drives, from pointless Excel files to old Temp files but one of the more annoying, and potentially dangerous, space wasters is duplicate files. Duplicate files gives everyone major headaches trying to ensure updates to files stay in sync. For me, digital photographs are one of these frustrations as copying images from cameras and phones and constant re-arranging of image folders often leads to duplication.

DupKiller aims to relieve a lot of that stress and describes itself as "one of the fastest and the most powerful tools for searching and removing duplicate or similar files on your computer" and best of all – it is freeware.
