Administering Servers using Remote Desktop for Administration is really useful as it saves endless visits to the computer room (remember those days!). However, it can be a little frustrating when servers insist on automatically creating Auto printers based on your client workstation.
Fortunately, automatic printer mapping can be disabled at a server level by navigating to Start->All Programs->Administrative Tools->Terminal Services Configuration->Connections. Right click on the required connection (RDP-tcp in our case) and navigate to Client Settings then uncheck the option "Connect client printers at logon."
