bubbl.us describes itself as "…a simple and free web application that lets you brainstorm online" and is a flash based mind mapping application that quickly and simply allows you to express ideas, relate and organise them graphically.

bubbl.us consists of a clean interface with context sensitive options that appear as and when you need them; helping to keep things organised and tidy. Maps can be exported as an image, HTML or XML – the image above took only minutes to put together. Maps can be saved for later editing, shared and collaborated with by selected friends.

Note: running bubbl.us using IE7 kept telling me "It appears that your browser does not have Adobe Flash plug-in installed. This plug-in is required for BUBBL.US to work properly." – however running the software using Google Chrome was fine.
