KeePass describes itself as "…the free, open source, light-weight and easy-to-use password manager" and is a useful program for keeping track of all those passwords that build up.

It seems we need passwords for everything these days, I must have hundreds of the things and trying to remember them all is a task in itself. Fortunately for us though KeePass is on hand to safely and securely store all those passwords we need to keep track of.

Some interesting and useful features of KeePass include:

  • Password Groups to organise passwords
  • Random Password Generator when you have run dry of new passwords
  • No Installation requirements
  • Strong Encryption algorithms including AES and Twofish

KeePass can be found at www.keepass.info
