Find your Apple iPhone MAC address

Submitted by jasonslater on Friday, 10 October 2008No Comment

When connecting to a managed wireless network you may encounter difficulty if the network administrator has enabled MAC (Media Access Control) security.

A MAC code is an identifying code in the form FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF (sometimes shown as FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF or just FFFFFFFFFFFF) and is typically assigned by the manufacturer to devices that communicate with networks.

The Apple iPhone MAC address can be found by navigating to General -> Settings -> About.

You may need to provide this code to your wireless network administrator.
