MAPILab provides a very good SharePoint usage reporting solution:MAPILab Statistics for SharePoint. Detailed reports on visitors, documents, lists, search, etc. Group of reports about usage of SharePoint search services includes reports on intensity of queries by day, data about successful and no-result queries; also the group can be used for estimating user satisfaction of search results.

Here’s an odd problem I cannot track down a resolution. MOSS2007 Enterprise Search, search terms are Small Business. When completing a basic search, get Keywords and Best bets, no Core Results. Searching again on just Small, everything appears OK, then search Small “Business”, everything is fine. Even an advanced search for “All of the words” or The Exact Phrase” Small business works. Stumped.

Having problems with the Server Name Mapping and Security Trimming…any ideas? Users can see the search results that they shouldn’t when I map to a friendly url.
