What is powerful writing to you?

Submitted by jasonslater on Wednesday, 16 April 2008One Comment

Joanna Young recently posed the question “In 30 words or less … What does powerful writing mean to you?” on her Confident Writing Blog. I have been pondering this interesting challenge for a short while and initially I came up with:

“Powerful writing is expressing an important thing in the fewest, clearest, most emotive and compelling words possible.”

However, since pondering it even more I have simplified it to:

“Powerful writing reflects the heart, mind and soul”.
