Last September “The Register” ran an article by Joe Fay entitled “Left-handeders finally unlock the closet, researchers find” and included a link to an on-line store for left-handed people. Hurray I am left handed and being left-handed doesn’t have the stigma attached to it that it used to have - I remember a time when people would look at you strangely when you used your left hand - what a weird world - not that I’ve ever felt oppressed by it of course!
Wiki cover the phenomena well at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-handed.
Even supermarket till operators still hand things over in a right handed expectation. The only trouble is that after all these years I’ve trained my hands to live in a right-handed world so using left-handed things which should be natural to me sometimes feels a bit strange (especially things like scissors) !
So here is a challenge for you. When you are out and about spend some time being left handed and see how many things are offered to you in a right-handed manner - ask the person why they offered it to you in that way and I imagine they will look at you strangely.

Yes, I agree, that left-handed shop is great. However, if you want a bit more choice of where to shop, you can take a look at http://www.thelefthandedsite.com which is my information and shopping portal for lefties.
Happy browsing.

Thanks for the post Carole, I have been over to your site and it looks like a great place for a lefty (left hander that is!) like me to hang out.
