Mabsoft: Network Tools

March 19th, 2008 · No Comments

mabsoftNetwork tools and utilities always come in handy when trying to diagnose a problem so following a tip from TechnoSpot.net in their article 175 Net Tools for windows [ Free Download ] I headed over to the web site of MabSoft (Mohammad Ahmadi Bidakhvidi) to download the 25MB software application. The application started out development in 2002 as explained in the associated readme.txt “Project NetTools © 2008 started in 2002 as a small project containing some basic network tools. The main objective was to make certain procedures easier and faster to do for the most network users, since then it kept growing.”

There are 175 tools listed on the Mabsoft website but some of the key ones that interested me were:

  • IP Calculator
  • Online - Offline Checker
  • Resolve Host & IP
  • Time Sync
  • Whois & MX Lookup
  • Advanced Netstat Monitoring
  • Web Page Scanner
  • Open Port Scanner
  • File Dependency Sniffer
  • Encrypter
  • File Comparasion
  • Hash MD5 Checker
  • URL Encoder
  • File Shredder
  • Hide Drive
  • Net Tools Mini (Client/Server, Scan, ICMP, Net Statistics, Interactive, Raw Packets, DNS, Whois, ARP, Computer’s IP, Wake On LAN)
  • Software Uninstaller
  • Tweak & Clean XP
  • NetTools Notepad (encrypt your sensitive data)
  • Telnet Client
  • Network Protocol Analyzer
  • Software Scanner
  • Fast FTP Client
