If you are curious about your broadband speed and want to test its upload and download speed then Speedtest.net is worth a look. Speedtest.net describes itself as “Speedtest.net is a free broadband speed test with servers located all over the world.” and allows you to test your broadband speed against a number of global servers then compare your speeds with others.

I see you’re happy with BT Broadband http://www.jasonslater.co.uk/index.php/2007/05/22/bt-total-broadband/. They also offer this speedtest and currently are giving wifi customers a free hub - see http://www.bt.com/boradband
