Blog update testing a new plug-in

Submitted by jasonslater on Wednesday, 23 January 2008One Comment

I have been in two minds about this but I’ve decided to give it a go. What I’m talking about is a Wordpress plugin that shows just the first paragraph of a post and offers a Read More option.

There are two reasons for trying this:

1. Tidiness - I am trying to tidy up the layout of my Blog and as some posts are very long - shortening the multipost pages seems to give a cleaner tidier look.

2. Relevance - Some of my posts can be quite long and topics vary from post to post. With this plug-in activated you can read the opening paragraph of a post and decide if it piques your interest and read more if you wish. This way individual posts will be more visible and you can scan down and find the posts you find most relevant to your interests.

The particular plug-in I am testing is the evermore plug-in which you can read more about on the following post http://www.thunderguy.com/semicolon/wordpress/evermore-wordpress-plugin/

I would appreciate your feedback as to whether the plug-in is effective for you.
