Gizmos For Geeks started out as an experiment by two system administrators in 2004. The initial idea was to include a daily gizmo of the day and industry related news articles but the site has clearly expanded to be a broad technology review site. They also produce a weekly newsletter by email that can be subscribed to. Advertising is catered for but kept nicely out of the way and at least the adverts included are relevant to the content.
The latest article Eye-Fi SD Card with WiFi (wireless) access was posted today and scrolling through the articles it is clear that there are regularly several gadget posts per day. A broad range of interesting gadgets are covered including GPS Navigation, Media Players, HD TV, Camcorders, and Computers. Some interesting posts include a USB to SATA or IDE Adaptor, Peepel online office software and the Palm Centro. I have recently purchased the USB to SATA/IDE Adaptor to add to my cable/adaptor collection and I’ve signed up for a Peepel account.
The site currently has a Blog juice rating of 3.0 and is reasonably well represented by both Alexa and Technorati. I look forward to seeing the ASUS eee Laptop and the Nokia e61i appearing on gizmosforgeeks soon.
