This new gadget allows me to to connect pretty much any IDE or SATA hard drive externally to a USB port on my laptop or PC. The drives can be 2.5 inch, 3.5 inch IDE and SATA hard drives as the package comes with a 3.5 inch to 2.5 inch adaptor, SATA power and data cables. The device supports speeds of up to 480Mbps with its USB 2.0 interface. (The images show two different products that achieve the same thing!)
