Low-Carb Day 3
Day 3 Low Carbing. It’s a strange feeling when the excess sugar starts to leave your body. The best way I can describe the feeling is a sense of clarity - as if emerging from a haze. I wonder if I’m the only person who feels this when low-carbing? My mind also feels more active and I generally feel more focused on the jobs I’m doing - it’s odd then that I would go back to eating (or over eating) sugary products so easily?
This morning has consisted so far of four thin sausages and a Peperami - I’ve ran out of Coke Zero so I’ve had extra coffee (it’s on free vend). I’m on the lookout for other snacks that I can peck at in a morning and late afternoon but I haven’t found a huge choice of comestibles yet.
The following items are things I have tried at various times to try and satiate the need for a snack: Salted Peanuts, Dry Roasted Peanuts, Scratchings, Orbit Gum, Cheese Strings, Cheese Strips, Coke Zero. Surprisingly enough Coke Zero does a great job of suppressing hunger pangs - I’m not sure why. Any suggestions for sugar free or low-sugar snacks (and preferably low-cal) would be appreciated.
It’s coming up to lunch time and seeing as Sharon is feeling ill I’m not sure what will be on the lunch time menu but I’m definitely starting to feel quite a bit peckish.
