Useful USB Stick Application

Submitted by jasonslater on Friday, 31 August 2007No Comment

I’ve often expounded on the virtues of keeping a memory stick loaded with useful applications handy. But a recent Blog post by David Bradley of the Significant Figures Blogs is well worth a read ‘Running Applications on Your USB Drive” - article here.

The article points to http://portableapps.com/ as being a platform where “… you can carry your favorite computer programs along with all of your bookmarks, settings, email and more with you. Use them on any Windows computer. All without leaving any personal data behind.”

Obviously all the programs are open source but it’s definitely something worth looking at if you’re out and about a lot.
