So, Dr. Who has a new running thread in the vein of the Bad Wolf mystery from Season 1. Who, or what, is Saxon? Apparently, the character is to be played by John Simm, he of Life on Mars fame. Is he an interfering alien, the new Prime Minister, something to do with Torchwood, or maybe even the Doctors long lost brother (hinted at in the first episode of Season 3). No doubt we will find out eventually and I’ll probably be all wrong - my guess is that he’s likely to be the Doctors brother but not so good, a’la The Master type character (in the same way at the Cybermen were re-invented).
