I was flicking through an old copy of PC Advisor yesterday and I found a readers letter that mentioned a site called fixyourownprinter.com.
I have had a good look around this site and it does seem very useful. You simply need to tap in the printer you are having trouble with and a list of problems with possible fixes follows together with ordering information for various maintenance kits.
To test the site we have a couple of 3200m multi-function laserjet printers for instance, and I’ve had problems where they pick up many sheets of paper then get jammed. This particular problem is on this site with a solution which worked. Useful eh?
