I’ve just been informed that the whole building will be powerless over the weekend. Bah. We are supposed to have our own clean supply into the computer room so I often balk when I’m told the whole power goes off - have these guys never heard of isolators. Don’t - no don’t - ok you’re going to tell me it’s better to be safe than sorry aren’t you!? You try bringing the system down in its entirety then start it up again a few days later and hope the users dont notice.
